Singapore - Malaysia St John Ambulance Competiition.

February 18th - A decision was made to form a combined Adult Ambulance team, SMK TP , and EC.
That team : Zhi Hao , Alex, Jethro , Sean and Le Bin made it through district level and won state .
Eventually , Zhen Wei ( SSI) replaced Le Bin , making it a 3-school team !
That team went on to win the Nationals..and on to SingMal!

Supporters gathered at JB Sentral . Took a bus to Singapore . With the H1n1 flu , there was a white tent at the immigration (singapore side of course , Malaysia's not taking precautions >_> ) , and they checked our temperature as we walked past . That's Once .

Immigration check >> Bus Stop >>> wait for bus >> found the right one
>>> managed to squeeze ALLL the supporters into the bus >>> me and shaarvin gave up our seats to old folks >> got down at some bus stop
>> bus 74 came late so we watched a kayu punya football match >> bus finally came
>>> sat on upper deck , again bus is filled with SJAM members and a few SArmedForces men
>> finally reached Xinmin PRIMARY 's entrance
>> heard commanding , walked around to find the entrance to SECONDARY
>> Ivan saw a few SJAB members , and shouted " EXCUSE ME! CAN OPEN THE GATE" and the pointed *there there*
>> walked like 3/4 around the perimeter
>> Entered and surrounded by SJAB members which checked our temperature and gave us a red sticker to wear
>> walked in and saw an SJAB(St.John Ambulance Brigade) Ambulance team starting to march .

Okay so we're here. Met Perng who commented on the SJAB's footdrill . Went up to the Hall to watch cases.

Short Case :

Guy 1 and Guy 2 are fighting.
guy 1 : " I HATE YOU! " *whack guy 2 with a metal pole. *

Guy 2 collapses and Guy1 goes into fits .

Saw Malaysia AC ( from SSI) 's foot drill. All the spectators especially the SJAB people were really really terbengang because it was like , sharp and precise.

we missed AA's foot drill ! They were marching when we just reached Xinmin . So if we didnt walk the wrong way and bus 74 wasn't late we could have watched it!

Jethro treated an open chest wound. After the case the victim was seen walking around. Incredible!

The canteen has vending machines , so Shaarvin bought nachos. See the pics.
Buffet lunch was provided , and THIS OFFICER told us that we can eat at 12, but " eat in a group" . Eat la .
Sekali have to wait for VIPs! Screw it , throw the plates away later . Gwee told bapok stories while yoke perng ate jelly without a spoon.

Results : It was all over in a matter of minutes. No suspense whatever! hahahah.
Ambulance Cadet won too !

The chief judge's comments :

" I was impressed by the foot drill performed by the Malaysian ambulance teams. Their standard is on par with some of the best in the SAF . "

Imagine that!!! And he's Lt.Col in the SAF , commander of the Medical Training Institute.

" For selecting the best leader , we had a hard time because both ( Zhi Hao and Kuok Zhen) were too good . "

The best leader award went to Kuok Zhen ( SSI ) . Congratulations!

Their victory is our pride and inspiration. They did it not only for themselves , but for the glory of our country (Malaysia) , state ( Johor) and area ( Johor Bahru) .
