2009 is coming to a close, Merry Christmas :D
2009 was an eventful year , yes it was a good one, like every year with its ups and downs.
Time really does fly , and thinking about the future is kinda freaky!! like, realllly think about it.
What do I think about myself this year?
I don't really have a clear picture, I feel that this year I've been more, outgoing? I've tried new stuff but I cant handle a lot. Life is a balancing game, balancing time , balancing negative and positive.
Life isn't about positive. isn't ALL about positive. Learn to take the negative in your stride, and see the positive in the negative. Don't be angered by small things , learn to accept and be open . Compromise , and make space . Selfishness is like a wall you try so hard to build around all you think you own , everything that you think you have a RIGHT to have. It doesn't work that way !
I got to know more people this year. I also got to know more new people this year. There's a difference between these two statements , REALLY knowing someone and just knowing that someone.
Back with positive and negative, there's always the happy and sad in a friendship:) Farewells are always sad , especially with close friendships.
I can't blog too much . Thank you to all my friends, my really special friends, you all know who you are, for making my year an awesome one. Happy 2010 !

Okay , I've been rained with complaints why I didn't update my blog since 4th Nov. So I shall check my calendar and like, go through and see what didn't i blog about.

UNSW ICAS English Gold Medal , ok fine! it happened in October but I wanted to blog about it but I didn't so anyway here it is :D
*Somewhere in November*
Here and there, Body Worlds SG , if you're interested in anatomy or even art , you should go for it. Interesting and very informative. Specimens were prepared by Plastination , which involves immersing the specimen in an solvent bath to dissolve the fats and fluid , then forcing plastic into the cells. Photos not allowed so there are no photos! Saves me the trouble of uploading them :P
Trip to HK , Macau and Shenzhen . 4 days only
HK > Shenzhen > HK >Macau .
Didn't do much in HK actually ! because I kinda visited HK few years ago so we didn't go to the attractions, no don't ask me if I went to Disneyland :p
Shenzhen was mainly where my dad wanted to go , he goes there every year to buy stuff like those medicinal dried stuff (sea cucumber , deer tendons 0.o uh.. various leaves and flowers) .
Macau was where most of the sightseeing happened, mostly historical places ( ya boring you say) not like I'm old enough to enter a casino! Well I did anyway , I got into the Venetian and Hard Rock . How?
..
..
..
..
..
I just walked in and they didn't ask me any questions. AND I went to Hard Rock to look at the guitars only!

This Is It

This Is It was awesome! Seriously awesome. When I watched the movie I felt that it was such a pity for MJ to pass away at such a time , and that the concert couldn't go on .
The dancers and musicians came with dreams and aspirations , all full of vigor and enthusiasm of having the chance to perform and train with the King of Pop.
In a way it was an insight of a concert's works . The effects, the rehearsals , the crew , the Soul of it all . How they go , step by step , note by note , beat by beat .
Very awesome movie full of talent and music and dance.
My fav part HAS GOT to be Thriller!!!! SUPERB make -up and film. woots!

BEEP BEEP
Came to school , and realized that we form 3-ers are free from the bond of PMR.
We are not bound by the shackles of PMR .
We are not imprisoned within the four walls of Exam , Study , Stress and Workload.
But neither are we contained within that prison , for within that prison is sanctuary from the outside world.
Cut the trash , this means that we are obliged to our responsibilities in school .
Prefects, no more slacking under the guise of PMR,
no more excuse to keep long hair
"cikgu saya tak ada masa untuk pergi potong"
of course, there's always the option of Ponteng Sekolah. Or Playing Truant.
Just then the bliss of our sanctuary was broken by the arrival of an imposing figure ,Mr. Saiful Jefri.
His words were sobering as he reminded us to abide by the rules or suffer . The atmosphere was tense , only to be broken by his ringtone - the familiar voice of Nicole Scherzinger ( i think thats how you spell it) with the song BEEP.
ahem ahem.
We were herded to the hall for a propaganda session . .
Led by the Colonel .
We were to have fun and fun and fun .
No , that couldn't be true. It was too good to be true.
And yes , we
were
Right.
Direct orders from District High Command was that we were supposed to learn at least a chapter of the Form 4 subjects.
The Colonel decided we should have an exam to stream us into our respective Divisions next year .
In order to select and hand pick the worthy ones for the war in 2011 .

Calculating History
My hand shook like a Bollywood dancer while I worked on my graph and produced a line worthy of an F1 track , with the curves and all .
For all my effort I was repaid with a temporary union of my elbow and the paper by means of a substance called "sweat" .
_____
dont' bother about that, random stuff:D
Math was easy but I just could not come up with CENTRE OF ENLARGEMENT!! I forgot that one hahahhah .
Sejarah was surprisingly modest .

LOL / WTH / OMG. Indonesia is angry .
“How’s your plan to attack Malaysia?” I asked.
Six weeks ago, according to Adian, 10 Bendera spies slipped into Malaysia to build a network among Indonesian workers. He claimed these Indonesian James Bonds managed to convince 1.45 million Indonesians – maids, construction and plantation workers – to burn their workplace when Bendera launches its confrontation on Malaysia.
When I pointed out that it would cost Bendera about RM145,000 just to text message the 1.45 million Indonesian workers (assuming the spies have all their phone numbers and an SMS costs 10 sen), Adian flashed his crooked teeth. “We’ve got our ways to communicate,” he stated.
“On paper, we have already won,” Adian said, again flashing his crooked teeth.
In World War II, according to him, the allies required two months to prepare for their attack on Germany. But Bendera does not need two months as it already has 1.45 million conspirators in Malaysia.
“That is why we have a different view from President SBY (pronounced as ‘ess-bay-yay’, the initials of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono). SBY said Indonesia cannot attack Malaysia as there are 1.8 million Indonesian workers in Malaysia. But for us the 1.8 million people are our strength to attack Malaysia.”
And then Adian started attacking Malaysia by showing the photographs (in the four-page declaration) of Indonesian maids being abused here.
“Look at this,” he said, pointing at the photograph of Nirmala.
“If Malaysia says that Malaysians and Indonesians are satu rumpun (the same stock), then why do they abuse their own rumpun?”
Pointing at a photograph of a man being caned, he asked angrily: “Why does your police, soldier and what do you call… Rela… abuse Indonesians?
“Do you know that once in three days an Indonesian is abused in Malaysia?”
On Oct 8, Adian claimed, about 300 Indonesians – trained in ilmu kebal (black magic) which makes them invincible to sharp objects and bullets – would invade Malaysia by attacking Malaysian towns in the island of Borneo (where Indonesia’s Kalimantan and Malaysia’s Sabah and Sarawak are located).
“From Pontianak (in Kalimantan) we will cross to Kuching (in Sarawak) and capture it. And then we will go to the next town. And from Nunukan (in Kalimantan) we will cross to the next town,” he said.
“What is that town?” I asked Adian, Bendera’s war strategist.
“I don’t know the name. But it is the town that we are going to capture,” he declared.
(Just for the record, the closest Malaysian town to Nunukan is Tawau in Sabah.)
In six to eight months, he confidentally predicted, Bendera would conquer Kuala Lumpur.
“Why don’t you just go straight for the jugular and attack Kuala Lumpur?” I asked.
“Uncle Mao’s military tactic was to first capture villages and then the city. We will capture your villages, your towns and eventually your capital,” he explained......

Behind the Scenes, Backstage at the KPM !

Even as we speak , ( or blog, type , laze , study) our fate is being decided deep within the bowels of the Ministry( of education ) .
Our PMR papers have been ( or are being) set by the trusted and clandestine upper echelons of the elite education force of Malaysia. The inner circles decide on our PMR paper for us , whether we'll LMAO ( Laugh My(our) Ass(es) Off) , or GMAP ( Get My(Our) Ass(es) Pwned) at the paper.
Of course, we don't really know if they've already SET the papers or are STILL setting the papers due to some sticky (pun intended, see above photo) situation . Or maybe it's a tactic of their own.
Tactic? Eh?
Ah..
That's where the investment pays off.
The Student's Association of Malaysia , Probing And Hostilities (SAM:PAH) Division has gathered insider information from deep within the bowels of the KPM.
Our spy WAS highly experienced, having served in various locations including PingPongyang , Guano Bay , The Pentagone and KLCC.
Despite all this, our spy was eliminated . he/she/it fell to his/her/its death while climbing the Great Tower of Exam Papers
*Artist's Impression*
Dang!! So close but yet so far. Our papers are at the top there.
Nevertheless, the reports and analysis and hypothesis conclude that the KPM are up to something sinister.
Propaganda.
Some are their specially appointed agents , some are just unwary distributors of the Propaganda with a Capital P.
"Analysis of Past Year Questions.."
"This topic has NOT been tested for 5 years , this is SURE to come out "
" This topic has been tested for 5 years straight, sure this year will NOT come out! "
" this topic does not exist in our textbook , but it will come out for the sake of General
Knowledge"
" General Knowledge is not involved in the military "
Why do you think the topic has been tested for 5 years straight?
Because Propoganda was released that another topic would be tested, and that the topic would not come out this time.
The students all thought that it wouldn't come out so they did not study that topic, and the Government purposely included THAT topic!
Because Propaganda caused the lazy :p students read only the spotted questions.
this is actually a covert Government plan to train us to not believe Propaganda and mistruths whether in or out of the country .
(Berwaspada terhadap kuasa asing)
(Berwaspada terhadap kuasa tempatan iaitu/terutamanya Parti Pembangkang)
(Menggunakan taktik yang bijak)
Wow! I'm impressed , what a brilliant move by the Government , Fight Fire with Fire !
Pwn Propaganda with Propaganda.
Anyway if you have been patient enough to read till this end , you will be rewarded for your trouble, dedication and diligence .
This will save you
Don't turst ( pun intended ) this blog post.
Plus why am I blogging when half the target audience ( PMR folks) won't read this .
:D

Speak your Mind ,
Opinions vary , it all depends on your stance and perspective.
Often , the best perspective is always in the middle of it all , right there,
there !
Right in that person's shoes.
Right there smack in the middle of the scenario .
Life works in funny ways , things happen that make you click the DELETE button on your previous opinion but of course something like that doesn't exist ( if it did it would be easier to forgive&forget)
Sometimes things happen that make you rethink , repicture , reposition .
And you find that it looks so much nicer from this new angle !
Well, for you that is , can't impose your view on other people , ya?
can't grab their head , look loook there look at that that yes yes lean back!
(my cousin used to do that to me . )
Airplane!!
Where??
there!
Where got!
*grabs my head*
OH OH OKOKOK LET GO.
ages ago ..I was.. uh , 6?
So if something makes you change your perspective then EAT YOUR WORDS and get on with life.

and anyway I was studying Sejarah like any other tormented Form 3 when I came across this misprint in the textbook .
No , it wasn't a misprint. It was actually the true version , all other books are misprinted .
It was about the founding of Melaka and how sentient life came to this God-forsaken place previously unnamed .
Once there was a powerful empire called CV Jaya . Like everything great, it had to fall someday. Its fall came at the hands of the Bittermaja clan . The ruler, Para Mace Wara fled across the ocean in his ship made of banana leaves.
He sailed for 7 days and 7 nights during which his provisions ran short. His loyal men bowed before him and said,
" My King, allow me to sacrifice myself for the future of CVJaya. "
"My King, me too"
" Me three. "
and so on and so forth .
The seven brave and loyal men sacrificed themselves as a last act of loyalty to their King . The King was saved from starvation but he reached land on the 9th day so it was quite a waste.
He had lots of meat left over.
nevertheless he stepped on terra firma and walked on , lugging with him a bag filled with Homo Sapiens steak . He deciphered a tablet he found and realised that he was on the island of Ben10, he contemplated , whether to move on or stay there.
Seeing that the island over there was a bit nicer, he journeyed to SinChiaPour , the journey took him 2 days by boat but had he known, it would have taken him 1 hour at most via the ERP at the cost of 5 silver dollars.
2 days on sea had taken a toll on Para , who had nearly exhausted his ration of steak . The remaining pieces were beyond his fancy ,eg:liver , brain , intestines
(this guy didn't shit for a week) , stomach , rump , ahem and he threw them overboard the moment he spotted land.
Unbeknown to him , his action sparked a chain of events.
A colossal maw formed a whirlpool from the inky depths of the Sunda Straits. The beast which rose from its sub aquatic kingdom was like no other. Para was awed by its power and glory , recognizing it from ancient texts he had been read to as a young Prince.
Leviathan the Tidehunter.
Filled with gratitude at the offering , Leviathan offered Para a bargain he could not resist.
For from his claw hung three great cross-shapes with moon-shaped blades at the end.
In our modern day we call them anchors.
One was gold ,
one was silver
and one was rusty and covered with lala, kerang and tiger prawns.
He offered Para all these for the price of more FRESH MEAT.
Grabbing hold of the gold one, Para swung his newfound weapon. A scrawny lad he was , it flew out of his hand , 100 miles away to the island palace, killing the ruler, Tunaunagi and breaking every bone in his body . Tunaunagi was an officer from SeeHam who ruled SinChiaPour as a vassal state.
That settled Leviathan's dinner .
The SeeHameese didn't know about the murder of Tunaunagi because the Leviathan's awakening knocked out the undersea internet cable .
Some time later , the Central Command noticed an absence of Tweets from Tunanunagi and sent a team to investigate..
Para hitched up his skirts and fled north to Muar.
Leviathan followed him .
and so did Leviathan's army, know as the Cellates, or Orang Laut.
Muar > Biawak Busuk / Kota Buruk .
One was smelly and one was run-down .
He continued his search for a new foundation to build his empire . One day , as he sat under the World Tree , he saw a peculiar creature .
Leviathan the Tidehunter advanced to confront this strange entity but got its ass kicked back into the tidal terrain , into the inky depths where it was born .
Para stared at awe at the entity which had defeated Leviathan . It was a silver stag .
He felt the aura and knew that THAT was THE place to build his new Empire .
He started with Jonker Street .
And so , Melaka was born .
More credible accounts argue the name "Malacca" was a local folk-adaptation of the Arabic word 'mulaqa' meaning 'meeting place': which the port of Malacca indeed was.
Source : Wikipedia .
Some believe Malacca took its name from the fictional antagonist , Mal'akh , from Dan Brown's latest thriller - The Lost Symbol . Available in all reliable bookstores .
Coming on..
where everything was exactly how it seemed,
where there was never any mystery ,
Of who shot John F. Kennedy,
It was, just a man with Something to prove ,
slightly Bored and severely Confused ,
he , steadied his rifle with the target in the centre
and became famous on that day in November.
Don't wake me, I plan on Sleeping In.
Life isn't fair and as you can see , nice stuff comes near PMR.
F1 , Stomp ( DAMN) , the Douglas floating library , Mafia Wars Moscow (=D)
and and and LOST SYMBOL.
Read it , it's awesome.
I'm proud that I could figure out/ guess two event which were going to happen.
(two??? just two?? ) yes, just two .
awaiting the Moscow expansion!!!!

Muse, Resistance, Tattoos and Teachers' Rantings.

Muse is back!! If you judge the album by the cover , this certainly looks very MUSE indeed!
Their new single , Uprising ( Single Release Album covers up there, I prefer the cartoon teddies)
is totally Muse! This album includes tracks like Uprising , and the Exogenesis "Symphony" consisting of 3 parts - Overture , Cross Pollination and Redemption . There's also
"United States of Eurasia + Collateral Damage " - which is reminiscent of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody ( first , slow singing , then sudden Bang!! ) and there's this Arabic-desert kinda tune at some sections . At the end there's Chopin's Nocturne Op.92 , slightly edited and with sounds of children playing and jets flying and missiles..
Other tracks include- I Belong to You ( quite upbeat and funky :D ) , Resistance , Unnatural Selection , Mk Ultra ( nice electro-guitar opening)
MUSE!!!!!!
somebody out there quickly transcribe the piano scores for Muse's awesome album!! Please!

Books and " Atomicus "
Fellow form 3s , we are barely few weeks away from PMR and I don't feel this rising tension I felt back then during UPSR where we sat in the hall and dilligently doing practice papers given by our dedicated teachers , fast forward to 3 years later a few weeks before PMR and we are in the mini auditorium fiddling with a radio and trying to get 987fm when Good Girls Gone Bad starts playing on Hitz.Fm so we settle for that. Some anonymous people are throwing plastic bottles at each other while many are caught in the crossfire and they retreat to the back of the hall where some are playing cards ( Chor Tai Tee ) and -censored for security- .
Excuse the uh.. lack of punctuation ,
Ever had the chance to whip out your old UPSR papers and laugh at the simplicity of the questions compared to what we are doing now? ( I gave my papers away except for the Science Paper 1 . I improved one mark ( from 29 :D) from 2006 when I re-answered the paper on the 8th of September 2009 .
And remember English ?? They had the Picture and you had to make Five Sentences from them . Because it was such an easy straightforward thing to do , they came up with this Format so us students and our teachers as well had to adhere to the format therefore making less simple .
Same goes for BM ._09633u.jpg)
I don't think I remember the format - something like , write what you see in the picture.
For instance , writing for the picture above.
1. The picture above is Salvador Dali's " Atomicus " , photographed in 1948 . (wrong)
1 . The man, water, cats and objects in the picture above are suspended in mid -air ( correct)
came across this picture a few days back ! Taken by Phillipe Halsman , it explores the idea of suspension . Salvador Dali , the cats and the objects are actually suspended by thin wires
(zoom in on the picture ) , and the water you see there comes from a bucket which was sloshed when Phillipe gave the thumbs-up on one hand and pressed the shutter with the other.
It took 28 attempts for Monsieurs Dali and Halsman to be satisfied with their work .
Result :
1 . Superb picture .
2. Fame
3 . Satisfaction
4. Three very scared cats
5. A Very tired assistant ( you can see his hand holding up the chair prop on the left)
6 . A very wet studio
7 . Dali with tired cheeks ( he smiled the HamSapLou smile for 28 tries )
Moral of the story
1. Never be satisfied and complacent , except for the best and only the best .
2. Never give up .
3 . Vision without action is nothing.
Now, to another topic. While most people are reading academic reading material...
Nightmares and Dreamscapes - Short stories by Stephen King .
* thumbs up*
superb stories. A safe read compared to Carrie .
Dolan's Cadillac , The End of the Whole Mess, Rainy Season , Suffer the Little Children , Chattery Teeth , The Moving Finger , Home Delivery , The House On Maple Street .
Just to name a few.
Reminiscences Of the Cuban Revolutionary War - Ernesto Che Guevara.
An account of the CRW from when the ship Granma carrying the 80 + revolutionaries landed on Cuban shores and were ambushed and escaped with barely 12 men , to their first victory against Batista's army , their days in Sierra Maestra and their victory at Havana - the realization of Cubano Libre - a Cuba free from Batista's dictator government .
It's like reading Kanang and Sejarah - Bab3( Komunis ) . But better.
Don't know who Che is??
There ! Don't tell me you've never seen this pic .
When Alex's hair grows back lebat as ever , we'll get him to pose like that with the SJAM beret and print it on the 2010 Division One shirt ( joking )![]()
The Life of Pi - Yann Martel
This book is quite well-known and once you read it you'll know why .
It tells the story of Piscene Molitor Patel ( who wishes to be know as Pi Patel , because most people call him Pissing Molitor Patel . The Piscene Molitor is a famous swimming pool in France)
from his days in Pondicherry , India to his family's migration to Canada and his 227 days at sea with Richard Parker as company . ( FICTION!! )
Richard Parker is that tiger on the cover by the way .
Overall it's an enjoyable book , one of my faves now. Thumbs up!
oh and someone explain how "(Y) " can mean " thumbs up"??
Because it seriously looks WRONG . It looks like someone's ass and Justin just drew that on the notification for SJAM Div. One AGM 2009 .
" Yes la is thumbs up ."
" HOW? Looks like someone's ass la seriously . Like (Y still not that bad la . Can see somewhat of a thumb"
" yes la , you type (Y) on msn will come out thumbs up .."
OH. I have been enlightened!
means :[ = Bat
and ( sn ) = snail.
WTH.

Light
Nowadays I'm just lazy to blog , don't even mention Twitter!
( Yes I have twitter but I hardly tweet :D )
Not that I have nothing to blog about , it's like whatever desire to blog just dissipates when I uh , get down to blogging .
Anyways the weekend has been a very lazy weekend . I'm still like in the holiday mood . Slacking quite a lot , trying to fit back into the hectic tension which I managed to get myself into prior the trials..
Tension and stress actually has a positive effect on us , like yknow , get off your ass and go and study , PMR is next week . It pushes us and it's like motivation . Only that it's the Do-or-die kind.
Plus , i'm sick . I don't know if it's coincidence that me , shafiq , justin , hebron and jeyaraj , just to name a few , are sick.
Theebban is in the hospital for h1n1 . THE CULPRIT!

Happy Birthday , Malaysia

As Malaysia enters her 52nd year of Independence and we the citizens of Malaysia , see it with anticipation and hope for an even better future. May we work towards this dream that the Malaysia we see today will be nothing compared to the Malaysia of tomorrow . A Malaysia even more prosperous , even more harmonious . A Malaysia we will be proud to call home. A time where our hearts will swell with pride as we walk with our heads high and say ,
"We are Malaysians . We are One. "
Unity is the key . My hope for tomorrow is that 1Malaysia remains and becomes a reality , not just words and something patriotic which we can use to write a nice essay .
We must rise to the call of 1 Malaysia , regardless of race and religion . Let us not be skeptical of our fellow Malaysians, let us have trust in each other .
Let us be as One, One Malaysia.
Selamat Hari Merdeka .
* btw I did the pics myself :D

Happy Birthday Shafiq and Justin! ( LATE POST)
Happy Birthday Shafiq ! First a proper picture of you saluting the officer like an excellent NCO .

Happy birthday Prebet Justin Low! also saluting the officer, with hair sticking out from his cap.
Justin turned 15 on the 23rd of August, and hopefully as a 15-year-old he will learn how to blacken his shoes properly and not just blacken the front , with a feeble excuse that "my pants will cover the back of the shoe , see so blacken the front is enough.
OH SHEEEEET. Duduk kaki terkangkang nanti seluar koyakkk ahh.
Oh no , constipated!!! If later halfway marching shit memang problematic .
"OH SHEEET I SHAT IN MY PANTS FASTER FASTER I NEED TISSUE"
well at least not halfway marching.. hehhe
Justin with the mangkuk head saying something like ,
" REALLY? sure? confirm? "

Yahoo
i
From Dec2006 ~ July 30th 209
Yahoo just died an hour ago , we just buried the poor fella .
went missing on saturday , found him on Monday ,
Thanks to the guard who helped us search the compound .
Thanks to the gardener who helped us dig the grave (he refused to accept anything)
Thanks to the office admin , Pn. Fauziah ( " Gee" ) who went out of her way to help us
Thanks to the vet who.. helped us get the medicine (wasn't in stock ) even though there was "little hope left"
For those of you who never had the chance to see him , well , it's a pity .
R.I.P , go on to a better place :)

Excerpts from a Diary .
A friend is a friend ." A friend in need is a friend indeed " , " Friends are siblings God forgot to give you" . Apt indeed . Real friends or sham friends ? Close friends ? Acquaintances ? Mere contacts ? Or a close bond, special , lasting and amazing .
Now, to the topic of raging hormones, love enters the picture . Like , and love , are two really different but similar things . You can like, and nothing much would happen . Nothing complicated. When love comes into question , "Friends" take a whole new perspective as "Couple" , commitment and affection become sort of a contract or more like, an obligation . Of course, this the common and typical but common and typical are not always the order of the day .
Then again , grow up. Love is about caring. Love is about affection. Open your mind, love everything which you see fit to be loved . Love what you want , love what needs love , love with your heart.
A crush is just a fleeting emotion. Commitment isn't there yet . At our age , puppy love is common. But what would it commonly lead to ? Premature breakups , disillusions of "forever love " and attachment . I believe in Always , not Forever. There is not Forever . But there is Always .
To anyone who reads this , I am speaking from mere opinion , not experience . I believe what's necessary , what's right , will come when the time is right . Prioritize , prioritize , prioritize .
Then again , when that fleeting emotion comes, these words will just be mere graphite on paper .
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Excerpt from my diary . It's written in pencil , so I say "graphite on paper " .
Do not misunderstand . As I said , I'm writing based on opinion . Do not assume .
I blog about this to share what I think , to share my opinion.
Hope this makes good reading .
Reflection
Or in reality is life just laid out stark, bare and straightforward? Can we define life through intuition, thought and reasoning?
Take for example how life isn't always fair . For some of those who are constantly under fate's hammer, it is never fair . While for some you just always get things done your way .
Talk about habit , routine and "fate" . Underline the relation among these three . What you do often is a Habit , and it becomes a Routine , reoccurring in your life . Are you , as a person , Fated to do all this? Is something which you do not do counted in your Routine life? For example , is it your Routine and Habit to fall ill when an important event is approaching ?
It is inevitable that all of us would interpret this differently . After all , the human mindset believes what is Concrete , what is backed up with Solid Evidence and not Thoughts , Ideas and Philosophy . Thus , this Area of Life is open to interpretation , with everyone living life the way they want it .Some attribute it to Bad Luck , while Fatalists leave it all to Fate , and that everything is Fated and we can't change it . Religion comes into the field with guides and rules to life, How to Life and the Ethics of Life . Every religion implores its believers to do good , contribute to peace and so forth .
So the scenario here is , would someone be able to break this chain of Bad Luck / Misfortune / Negative Energy /etc ? A Losing Streak for example . Would someone fall into a losing streak just with one loss ? Or would someone , victorious for once in an extensive losing streak , be able to go against all odds, turn the tables and enjoy a winning streak ?
Because if We try , we can . If we have the Faith , Belief and Confidence, We can. Winning even once shows that you are Capable of doing something. To be able to attain a certain level of achievement , tells you , " I can. "
Then again, Life isn't that simple. Would an individual , after achieving something beyond their average , be frustrated and disillusioned if they fail to achieve it ? Falling back into the average range , while their minds constantly dream of the Past Achievement . Would they use this as Leverage to succeed ? As incentive ? As a Goal ? A Benchmark ? Proof of their Ability ?
Or would they just resign themselves to Fate , adopt a Loser's spirit , believe that one has failed, and just -
Give it up ?
After all , it is all a matter of personal interpretation . Science never gave us a theorem to determine our achievement . It was all up to the individual to exploit their ability , to seize opportunity , to strive against all odds , to never give up , and to rise up above all .
What about you ?
We vary in different ways . Our mindsets and personality , all cast in our Psychological DNA , define who we are, what we are and the way we think .
The way we think defines what we achieve .
Ultimately it defines who we are.
- Originally by ME . Written not from experience but from what I think .

Grapevine Fires
When the wind picked up, the fire spread
And the grapevine seemed left for dead
And the northern sky looked like the end of days
The end of days
And a wake-up call to a rented room
Sounded like an alarm of impending doom
To warn us it's only a matter of time
Before we all burn
Bought some wine and some paper cups
Near your daughter's school when we picked her up
And drove to a cemetery on a hill, on a hill
We watched the plumes paint the sky gray
She laughed and danced through the field of graves
And there I knew it would be all right
That everything would be all right
Would be all right
Would be all right
Would be all right
Would be all right
And the news reports
On the radio said it was getting worse
As the ocean air fanned the flames
But I couldn't think
Of anywhere I would've rather been
To watch it all burn away
Burn away
Burn
And the firemen worked in double shifts
With prayers for rain on their lips
And they knew it was only a matter of time .
________________________________
Grapevine Fires , by Death Cab for Cutie . I posted the video of DCFC playing live instead of the official MV , to leave interpretation and imagery free to the mind of the viewer.
It has an apocalyptic feel to it , like the end of everything . Clearly it depicts a wildfire (Listen to it! ) . The song is filled with imagery , and what comes to mind is a scene of desolation , but there is a certain sense of satisfaction, of being contented (But I couldn't think Of anywhere I would've rather been To watch it all burn away) . Picture the imagery of the fourth verse (Plumes paint the sky gray,as she laughed and danced through the field of graves) , and a picture of innocence and hope , shining through times when it seems all hope is lost.
You could paint a picture with all this in your head . The scene stays there in your head , and stays there.

FOA!
FOA - The Festival of Arts 2009 - was a blast !
As usual , we performed ( supposed to put up the competition drama but tak jadi . )
This year's performance was a last-minute idea of a tribute to MJ - the King of Pop.
as usual , we surprise ourselves at many things we do ( eg: mighty minds , drama) and we surprised teacher with how much we improved in a day , with her comments.
therefore , EC ppl need stress to shove their butts of a chair and keep them on their toes.
So FOA , this year's was apparently the ONLY and FIRST year that our teacher advisors had the chance to sit back and relax , because of our efficient and independant way of working . Applause!
On the downside, this year is probably the worst year in terms of income , but like teacher said , LDDS is not a money making club. Money matters, leave that to the Koperasi and Tunas Bistari to roll in the cash .
Last year, we were told to SPEND money, because we had too much :D
Anyway FOA was a blast and I loved it , plus this year we had proper t-shirts which were decent enough to wear ( grey t-shirts from last year, anyone? actually those were okay )
__________
Our Formative3 test just ended today , frankly it's nothing much but yeah , unprepared.. Haha.
I rarely have the time and leisure to blog about funny stuff which happens in school , so i'll save it for "oral blogging" sessions when I have nothing to talk about.
_________
I might blog about my trip to the bank , or mighty minds . OR get some pics up on facebook. Meanwhile i'm packed, gtg tuition!

Your call.
from http://www.aizuddindanian.com/voi/2009/07/english-out-bm-in-for-science.html
The announcement was made today.
Beginning 2012, students in Year One and Year Four in primary schools, and Form One and Form Four in secondary schools, will learn Math and Science in Bahasa Malaysia. The reason?
"Only 19.2% of secondary teachers and 9.96% of primary teachers were sufficiently proficient in English," he said, explaining the Government's decision to revert to the old system.Seems silly isn't it? The patient has a rotting arm, and the Government's solution to the problem is to chop off the head.
While there is certainly some nationalistic pride behind having a national language capable of teaching science and math (this is debatable), it probably isn't in the best interest of the students who will wind up having to re-learn everything in English anyways once they start tertiary education, at least for those who aim to pursue those subjects. And for those that have no ambitions to study beyond a secondary education, having so little proficiency in English is not going to be much help in the "Real World" (TM) either.
With English having a prominent role in the schools, it was a step in the right direction, painful as it was. Come 2012, the education system is going to gostan. Do you see what i did there?
_______________________________
I am in total support of what this fellow blogger says. Few years back , the government was in a frenzy to train teachers and re-introduce Math and Science in English again.
Workshops, courses , programmes , systems , etc etc were put into action and we were quite pleased as it meant that Malaysians won't be sesated in the world as they would have a basis of science/ math in english.
Hablur??? what's that? It's crystal . Zarah is Atom .
As the blogger mentioned, there is a sense of nationalistic pride in teaching Math/Science( M/S) in Bahasa Malaysia. But what use is it , if we are to be confused with terms in English ? Are we going to be big-headed that we have "retained" our use of BM in teaching subjects that most of the world learns in standard language - English?
We can see that the standard of the English language in Malaysia , is not up to scratch.I think Miss Shyamala might agree to that , she being a teacher who loves the English language very much . Even our neighbours which split in 1963 , Singapore, have progressed by leaps and bounds , compared to us , who are complacently limping along , crippled by our various ailments and Achille's Heels .
Phrases like, " borrow me money" , " I drop and scratch my arm" , " open the light" , are less than rare in everyday life. Even if one may ace a written paper, they stumble and struggle with speaking English.
So It's like typing out a whole bad-ass long essay then backspacing word by word and typing it again. GOSTANNNNN.
So , very nicely said just now.
"Seems silly isn't it? The patient has a rotting arm, and the Government's solution to the problem is to chop off the head."
Good night .
See , this news overshadows what I was gonna post ! the rubber object found 2 days in a row in our class!

What's Happening ?
Thursday : Interviewed by the LDDS editors , Sean and Ashwin for a bulletin feature about the EC Drama team .
Edwin as usual gave very interesting answers , with the atmosphere getting heated and rowdy , especially next door where the BoD meeting was.
Friday : Got together to discuss the alternative sketch for FOA . Tribute to MJ . Still putting the pieces together. Sorry 5E , Edwin trashed your class ..
kicked the ball around , wrote his address on the whiteboard , WITH PERMANENT MARKER . We managed to clean it off nicely while he complained,
Whats wrong with you all wei! I nicely mess it up you all go clean up...walao .
Thanks to the cooperation of everyone involved, we managed to come up with a decent idea and outline most of the script . Thanks to :
Pavan - came with lots of info . + entertainment
Edwin -entertainment
Shafiq - coming although he was sick , then giving some ideas
Shaarvin - entertaiment as well
Justin - Giving ideas even though he was sleeping
Theeban - Ideas and entertainment
And below , there's an X Rated photo of Edwin . ENLARGE IF YOU DARE. Justin , Constant Vigilance ! Remember! Bad things happen while you sleep and though thou arth oblivious , they come back to haunt you one day ..
OMG DID YOU SEE THAT!
Sorry :D it's not as bad as it looks yknow!
Saturday : Parents Day! Went to school for " Jalinan Mesra" between parents and teachers. Overall teacher said I was good except that I talk a lot .
Mum : " Talk a lot ? Means disturb a lot of students ah, noisy! "
Tchr : " No lah, he just talks .. not noisy "
then my mum was kinda hairan how to talk and not be noisy (must be hard to imagine, considering her very talkative/noisy group of friends! )
I said I talk softly and keep my volume down , maintaining a level of respect and consideration for those around me .
Flag day duty after that , karat a bit since it's been a year since Flag Day 08 ( I cant duty this year though , sorry) . Duty until 12 , went back , took some things and came back to school at 1.30 pm for the FOA Auditions ( Bands) .
6 bands came, only 5 will be chosen..
1) Alvin John , Alvin Sanjay , John Gordon , and Gurdave Singh! Perfomed Beat It and a Metallica song. Gurdave the guitarist performed like a true rocker, head banging , guitar biting and playing with the guitar behind his head. Thumbs up!
2) Fifth Avenue : Yolander, Matthew , Ben Chia , Othniel , and idk who's the drummer :x
Perfomed "crushcrushcrush " Thumbs up!
3) White Chicks : Jeremy , Victor and ? performed Wonderwall . Good vocals!
4)AIA : Ivan sings!! Light On , incidentally Ms.Shyamala's fave song. She was kinda angry, not being able to forgive Ivan for ruining her fave song.. well after all voices sound different on loudspeakers.
" You'll stop my heart again.."
indeed..scary . Hell hath no fury like _____________ scorned.
5) Reconcile - Ram , Alvin , Jonathan , Joel - sang 21 Guns . Thumbs up! although couldn't hear jon's voice, mike prob?
6) Enddless . Yes with two DD like TheeBBan . Sang Wake Me up When September Ends. Good, but not impressive..not really.
in the end AIA was out :(
Monday : today .
Had First Aid class . After screwing our brains with , Brain , Heart ,and Lung Anatomy/Physiology , Ivan made us do CPR on Pavan . Idiot blew into our ears , ahh
when it was his turn..
Ivan : " mao fong go lie down be victim. "
Me : mehehheheh..
I will perform head tilt chin lift
*blowwww*

Lim Tiga Bersaudara
sup' .
I feel weird today so I didn't go to school .
Leaky nose, sore throat and headache (swine flu? )
NO WAY :D
I was in the cinema watching transformers on saturday , enclosed and crowded ( full house)
plus with air-con !
Anyway Transformers was really awesome, a really epic movie. There was one Shocking part which made EVERYONE laugh . The whole cinema. Then when Megan Fox was close-up-ed on the screen diyana made it sound like as if it's my fault that the scene existed..
Had NCO training yesterday , I don't think it had anything to do with how I feel today .
Did it?
You don't get sore throat from commanding unless you don't use the "stomach voice" .
(my sore throat was from sunday night)
Big jokes :
Michael's turn at report and command.
" Selamat pagi Squad. Pada pagi ini, saya akan mengawadkan squad. Penanda sebelah kanan, Prebet Lim "
Chuan Li : " *HENTAK * SQUAD! "
"Penanda sebelah kiri Prebet.. Lim"
ME: *HENTAK* SQUAD ! "
Okay , the Prebet Lim Tiga Bersaudara are on the move, I repeat , On the move.
Made the whole squad laugh earlier when someone else had their turn
( Me and CL were in that position for like more than half of the training)
Then Un's turn came, and he kept getting wrong and his voice sounded funny or something, Shafiq was tahan-ning his laughter and couldn't take it and went SNORT SNORT SNORT like damn babi .
Which naturally, made half the squad laugh , I tried to tahan :/
Shafiq as the timer , his voice became quite harsh , which made pavan say something which I dunno if i'm allowed to post here , but it made us laugh too .
Un : Bergerak ke kiri bertiga tiga , ke kiri , pusing.
Shafiq : Stup Du*HACHHI* *HACHI HACHII HACHII*
Pavan : woi apa apa ejek nama bapak aku ahh .
Shafiq : what the HACHII HACHII HACHII
I heard from somewhere - Sneeze once ,someone misses you . Twice - someone's cursing you .
Three times?
Go see a doctor.
Fabian : What the hell was all that! Laughing at what? Shafiq you were farting from your nose!
Well like Shaarvin would say :
Time passes sooo slowly.
" I open my eyes.. " < Live by the sword Die by the sword , Jamestown story
He did it like in a .. bingung kinda way .DAMN FUNNY.
The other day , of all topics we could talk about , we talked about...
POKEMON .
honestly , pokemon rocks. I used to be freaking expert at it when I played last time.

Assumption
I forgot to prepare my SJAM uniform last night because I forgot and partly because me and Shafiq pakat-ed to wear the Team Johor shirt to show our pride in being Johorian :D
(because SJAM Johor rocks)
First person I met at the gate , Sean : he was wearing team Malaysia .
Then I saw Edwin ! " SEE , LIM ALSO WEARING! "
Justin assumed Ivan wouldnt let us wear..
nvm then , today was Hari koperasi's launching day so they called some fellows from outside and had a big ceremony etc etc .. Form6 girls performed a choir , what song I couldn't hear because they didn't use the mike and the crowd was too noisy .
Saw Ms. Shyamala at the door , and we all thought , " wow now she's training a choir?? "
So I asked her , ( previously maybe none of us would dare to approach her with such a question because we assumed she was really terrifying but with all the time in close proximity with teachers we begin to understand them .. plus judging from the bus ride home from segamat , teacher is a very sporting person )
" Teacher, did you train the choir?"
her reply : (with intonation)
" Me?? No! If I trained them they wouldnt be so bad ,would they. "
HAHAHAHHAAH and almost everyone at the back who heard and understood laughed , but personally I dont know how to judge choir but they weren't that bad considering they probably had a few hours of last minute training , very much like the Combined Adult Team in the District level which trained for , at most , 10 hours and mashed SMK JJ Which we ASSUME , have been training for months..
Next , two meetings lined up : LDDS BoD meeting and Interact Meeting/interview.
While waiting for LDDS , we lepak in class and did a bit of NCO training . Isaac clarified the intonation :
*rising tone* selamat pagi TUAN! * inflect voice higher * * isaac swings hand up*
Went for Interact first , filled in the interview form :
* post preffered , areas of interest , 3 ways to improve IC , 3 suggested activities , 2 other comments*
asked for early interview and alas, I was first to go in ( what to do , got LDDS at 2pm)
Grilled by 3/4 of the BoD , plus Shan , Honorary Ex-President (as Kumaresh puts it )
turned out okay , maybe I was mentally prepared , it's something like what happened on Monday for 7 people.. Commitment commitment commitment!
Time to commit to your studies or you'll commit suicide when your results come out.
* oh ya, WHAT'S OMSSSFEEE ???? *
Shafiq / Sean : Operation MiStakeS FrEE
why the extra S and E ? If johor keeps up the presence and quality it has , in later years we'll have THIS on the shirt!

Singapore - Malaysia St John Ambulance Competiition.
February 18th - A decision was made to form a combined Adult Ambulance team, SMK TP , and EC.
That team : Zhi Hao , Alex, Jethro , Sean and Le Bin made it through district level and won state .
Eventually , Zhen Wei ( SSI) replaced Le Bin , making it a 3-school team !
That team went on to win the Nationals..and on to SingMal!
_____ PICTURES HERE .
Supporters gathered at JB Sentral . Took a bus to Singapore . With the H1n1 flu , there was a white tent at the immigration (singapore side of course , Malaysia's not taking precautions >_> ) , and they checked our temperature as we walked past . That's Once .
Immigration check >> Bus Stop >>> wait for bus >> found the right one
>>> managed to squeeze ALLL the supporters into the bus >>> me and shaarvin gave up our seats to old folks >> got down at some bus stop
>> bus 74 came late so we watched a kayu punya football match >> bus finally came
>>> sat on upper deck , again bus is filled with SJAM members and a few SArmedForces men
>> finally reached Xinmin PRIMARY 's entrance
>> heard commanding , walked around to find the entrance to SECONDARY
>> Ivan saw a few SJAB members , and shouted " EXCUSE ME! CAN OPEN THE GATE" and the pointed *there there*
>> walked like 3/4 around the perimeter
>> Entered and surrounded by SJAB members which checked our temperature and gave us a red sticker to wear
>> walked in and saw an SJAB(St.John Ambulance Brigade) Ambulance team starting to march .
Okay so we're here. Met Perng who commented on the SJAB's footdrill . Went up to the Hall to watch cases.
Short Case :
Guy 1 and Guy 2 are fighting.
guy 1 : " I HATE YOU! " *whack guy 2 with a metal pole. *
Guy 2 collapses and Guy1 goes into fits .
:D
_________________
Saw Malaysia AC ( from SSI) 's foot drill. All the spectators especially the SJAB people were really really terbengang because it was like , sharp and precise.
we missed AA's foot drill ! They were marching when we just reached Xinmin . So if we didnt walk the wrong way and bus 74 wasn't late we could have watched it!
________________
AA 's Short case and Long Case .
Jethro treated an open chest wound. After the case the victim was seen walking around. Incredible!

The canteen has vending machines , so Shaarvin bought nachos. See the pics.
Buffet lunch was provided , and THIS OFFICER told us that we can eat at 12, but " eat in a group" . Eat la .
Sekali have to wait for VIPs! Screw it , throw the plates away later . Gwee told bapok stories while yoke perng ate jelly without a spoon.
________________
Results : It was all over in a matter of minutes. No suspense whatever! hahahah.
Ambulance Cadet won too !
The chief judge's comments :
" I was impressed by the foot drill performed by the Malaysian ambulance teams. Their standard is on par with some of the best in the SAF . "
Imagine that!!! And he's Lt.Col in the SAF , commander of the Medical Training Institute.
" For selecting the best leader , we had a hard time because both ( Zhi Hao and Kuok Zhen) were too good . "
The best leader award went to Kuok Zhen ( SSI ) . Congratulations!
_____________________
After that , we all got together as SJAM , and cheered.
Mr Perba : " Let us shout it out loud, let them hear who we are! "
Who are we?
We are the best!
who are we?
We are the champions!
Who are we?
We are the SingMal Champions!
All for one
One for all!

Happy Father's Day ! A big thank you to my dad and all the dads out there!
Now, I feel like talking a bit about my dad.
there are many ways to describe my dad and for that you can ask my mum ! HAHAHA . To me , my dad is a really patient and diligent person . He is a real-life example , success comes only with hard work and determination . And with success , never forget your roots and where you are from, always be compassionate and charitable .
